He also wrote episodes of the TV series "I Married Joan", "The Real McCoys", "The Donna Reed Show", "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "The Jeffersons". His film screenplays include Father Goose (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Screenplay) and A Guide for the Married Man.
