Michel receives a visit from patibular Russians: he owes them a colossal sum of money. Accused, Michel offers his services to Victor, in charge of the humanitarian program "Roses against Opium", in the hope of discreetly diverting funds. Amanullah gathers his children to announce his great project: he will be the next president of Afghanistan! Lala collapsed.
