The RM Sotheby’s team is delighted to announce that we have participated in an exciting new, ten-part “fly-on-the-wall” television documentary series, charting a full year in the life of our car specialists, as they travel the globe on a mission to bring the world’s finest collector cars to auction. Produced by Waddell Media and a co-commission by BBC Worldwide and Channel 4 for BBC Worldwide’s global channels, the series provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how we hand select potential auction vehicles, research their histories, and ultimately offer them for sale at some of the most glamourous auction locations across Europe and the United States.

Already launched to unanimous praise on BBC Brit in Poland and South Africa, BBC Knowledge in Australia and BBC Canada, the series promises to be a ‘must see’ for anyone who loves classic cars or simply has an interest in how an auction house goes about its fascinating business. Within the UK, the series will air on Channel 4 under the title ‘World’s Most Expensive Cars’, fronted by well-known personality and car expert, Ant Anstead. The Channel 4 series premiere is slated for Sunday, April 30, immediately following the station’s coverage of the Russian Grand Prix. Additional global distribution will be announced in the coming weeks.
