Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Daniel befriends Stormy Weather, an alcoholic former country music star whom he idolizes. He tries to help him get back on his feet and resume his career, but Stormy's presence creates a bitter conflict within the family. Several of the brothers think that he is wasting his time on Stormy, whom they consider a loser, and that Stormy's drinking is a bad influence on Guthrie.
