Cevdet is betrayed by his blood brother, Tevfik. Cevdet is a major in Thessaloniki towards the end of the Balkan War. When Cevdet and Tevfik battle on the front, everything upset with an event. Cevdet is forced to break from his family. Tevfik helps Azize, who had to migrate from Thessaloniki to Izmir.
